RuneScape: Dragonwilds DedicatedServer.ini Settings, Roles, Ports, and Paths

Dedicated servers for RuneScape: Dragonwilds launched with update 0.11. The dedicated-server tool was released on Steam on March 31, 2026.

This reference covers the supported operating-system requirement, configuration keys, permission tiers, ports, memory guidance, and Windows data paths documented by the listed sources.

System requirement and configuration paths

The dedicated server requires a 64-bit operating system. Under the server's RSDragonwilds directory, DedicatedServer.ini is located at:

Platform Configuration path
Windows Saved/Config/WindowsServer/DedicatedServer.ini
Linux Saved/Config/Linux/DedicatedServer.ini

Configuration keys

The mandatory settings are:

  • Owner ID: The RuneScape: Dragonwilds Player ID displayed at the bottom of the in-game Settings Menu. The server will not start without it.
  • Server Name
  • Default World Name
  • Admin Password

World Password is optional. When configured, it supersedes the password stored in the world.

Permission tiers

Dragonwilds dedicated servers have three permission tiers:

Tier Permissions
Owner Can ban and unban players whether they are online or offline.
Admin Can ban online regular players but cannot unban players.
Regular user Cannot ban or unban players.

The list of players who have used the Admin Password is recorded in DedicatedServer.ini.

Ports

The default Game Port is 7777. A second server uses 7778. The selected port can be overridden with the -port= launch parameter, such as -port=7778.

Memory and player limit

The documented sizing recommendation is 2 GB of RAM plus 1 GB for each player. The server supports up to 6 players, producing an 8 GB recommendation at full capacity.

Windows save and log paths

On Windows, the relevant directories are:

  • World saves: AppData\Local\RSDragonwilds\Saved\Savegames
  • Logs: AppData\Local\RSDragonwilds\Saved\Logs

For the official setup instructions, see the Dedicated Servers: A How-To Guide. The Dragonwilds Wiki dedicated-server reference documents the configuration values, permissions, ports, memory guidance, and data paths summarized above.
